As the third largest state in Malaysia, Pahang shares its border with another state in Malaysia which is Kelantan and Terengganu up north, and Perak, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan to the west.

Pahang has an average temperature of between 27°C – 35°C all year round. The monsoon season is from November – January, chances are heavy rain and thunderstorms every day.

1. Pahang State Mosque
Also known as Masjid Sultan Ahmad Shah, the mosque is located in Kuantan city center. It is easy to spot from the distance.

The Pahang State Mosque has an Ottoman Moorish styled architecture. The mosques is well designed and structured with beautiful blue colored paint. Consisted of a big dome, with four minarets, and smaller dome.
Worth a visit for an hour or so, it is especially beautiful when the lights are turned on during night time.
2. Explore Lentang Recreational Forest Park
The Lentang Recreational Forest Park is located in Bentong, Pahang. Not too far from Kuala Lumpur, makes it a suitable choice to get away from the buzzling city life.

The park is a good spot for picnic, to enjoy the rainforest, go for swim and there’s also hiking trails for jungle trekking.

3. Explore Cave Temples of Gua Charas
The Cave Temples of Gua Charas are located about 20km from Kuantan and about 10km from Sungai Lembing. The caves are believed to be around 400 million years and up to about 355 metres in height.
To enter the cave, first you need to climb some long steps but at least halfway up you get some great views of the surrounding countryside.
Once you enter the cave entrance the cave opens up into a huge cavern complex complete with mineral formations in caves.
On the roof, you can see large ripple marks which were formed by the ancient river that carved open the cave. As you explore the cave, you shall see the temples and Buddhist statue.
Furthermore, there is also a few stalls selling food, drinks and Buddhist statues etc.

4. Visit Sungai Pandan Waterfall
One of Malaysia’s beautiful waterfall. Located near Kuantan town in the state of Pahang. It is also known as Panching Waterfall.
Situated in the forest, it consist of beautiful cascading rapids from the hill down to the giant rocks. culminating into a large pool, which makes it ideal for swimming especially for kids as the shallow depth of water is just knee level.

5. Chamang Waterfall
Located in Bentong and is about 8km drive from Bentong town, Chamang Waterfall is clean and suitable to bring the family for a picnic on a hot day.
You can go for a dip in cool running water while listening to the sound of nature. Water level is suitable for all ages as it is not considered deep. Proper toilets and parking area also provided.

6. Explore Cameron Highlands
Visit various places when you’re in Cameron Highlands. From the tea plantation, to the cute sheep farm. Indeed a worthy place to spend your holiday and of course, do it for the gram!
7. Experience the Sunrise at Peak of Bukit Panorama
To experiences the sunrise, you need to wake up extra early to begin your journey. More importantly, find out the sunrise time and start your journey approximately 2 hours to reach the top.
To reach the peak, there’s some flights of stairs with around 1100 steps, this will take around 40 mins. Bear in mind that some of the steps don’t have the proper pavement and bring a torch as you are going in total darkness in order to witness the sunrise.
Once you reached the top, turn to your right and go all the way until you find a view spot. Sit back, relax and enjoy the mesmerizing sunrise and magnificent clouds over the landscape.
