Gemia Island is only 800 meters from Cotton Island and only 5 km from the Peninsula. To get to the island, you can take a speedboat provided in Marang with only about 15 minutes.

2. Kapas Island

Pulau Kapas is part of Terengganu, located about 6 kilometres east of Marang, Kuala Terengganu. Pulau Kapas (Kapas Island or 棉花岛) is named as such to reflect the beautiful white beaches that is scattered around the island. Pulau Kapas has a beautiful range of coral reefs underwater, and having fewer types of coral species available there, the reefs and the wonderful marine life are worth checking out. Located just 20-30 minutes from Marang Jetty is a beautiful resort island, Pulau Kapas. Its position very close to the land of the Peninsula makes it suitable for those of you who are short of time but still want to experience the holiday on the island.
Pulau Kapas also have beautiful beaches, where you can see and feel the beautiful white sand beaches and blue waters, making this place one of the most beautiful islands in Malaysia.
The unique thing about Pulau Kapas is that you can walk along the built-in path that extends from the beach to another beach. However, watch out for low tides and high tides-some of the secluded and most beautiful places on the island’s beaches may require low tides so you can get past them.

3. Pulau Tenggol

Tenggol Island (Malay: Pulau Tenggol, Terengganuan: Pula Tenggo) is an island off the coast of Terengganu, Malaysia. This is the last island in a series of islands that includes Perhentian Island and Redang Island. It is connected by ferry to Kuala Dungun on the mainland.
Not much people know about this island and it is less popular compared to other islands which makes this island a suitable place if you want to relax and stay away from the crowds. This puts the island to a different level in terms of their underwater life making it quite popular among divers.

4. Lang Tengah Island

Lang Tengah (Lang Tengah Island) is located about 40 kilometers northeast of Kuala Terengganu (22.5 kilometers from Tanjung Merang), on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
Lang Tengah has only a few resorts and some other tourist attractions. It is basically a natural island. It is almost completely covered by woods, but you can take a boat trip to the beach and enjoy the stunning natural scenery.
There are abundant coral reefs around the rim, which is very suitable for snorkeling and beginner diving, where turtles are often seen. Getting there is as easy as flying from KL to Kuala Terengganu, and then taking a bus or taxi to Merang, where the ferry back and forth takes only 30 minutes.
