Mountain Kinabalu

Mount Kinabalu’s specialty lies in its location at a renowned World Heritage Site—Kinabalu Park. Nature lovers will be delighted to be able to witness the many variations of flora and fauna that are to be found on the mountain at different altitudes. Mount Kinabalu is the most dramatic feature in Sabah and the tallest peak between the Himalayas & the New Guinea. Towering at 4,095 metres (13,435 feet), Mount Kinabalu exerts a magical quality that is both indescribable and unbelievable. The granite peaks are constantly veiled in wisps of clouds and at times during a clear day, the summit reveals a distinct glacier carved pinnacles, rising from the smooth granite dome. It is one of the safest and most conquerable peaks in the world—provided that you’re reasonably healthy and physically fit.

Bukit Bongol (Bongol Hill) is such a photogenic but odd hill. It’s bald and covered by green grasses, like a mountain wearing green fleece. Its name Bongol is originated from the Malay word “Bonggol”, which means Hump, as this hill is characterized by multi-peak landscape. Bukit Bongol is categorized as one of the most beautiful and unique hills of Sabah.

Mount Trusmadi
Photo Credits to all photo owners
Mount Trus Madi is located in the Sabah state of Malaysia within Crocker Range Park. Only surpassed by nearby Mt. Kinabalu in terms of height, Trus Madi is considered a tougher challenge to climb because of its steepness. The trek is also longer in comparison and sees fewer tourists, making for a true off the beaten path experience.
The region is home to thousands of species due to its unique ecosystem, including a variety of birds, orchids, pitcher plants, and primates. If you are physically fit and seeking an arduous trek, climbing Mt. Trusmadi is a great experience.
You’ll start out from the village of Sinua and navigate rivers and trails before you stop at Sapulot, where you will interact with the Murut tribes and discover local traditions and foods. Along the way, scale the 800 ft limestone pinnacle of Batu Punggul, explore mysterious caves, and sleep on stretcher hammocks in a jungle camp perched high on a riverbank
