According to the Malaysian Syariah Law here, alcohol is not allowed for all Malaysian Muslim. It is also prohibited from selling alcohol to the muslims here. It is also considered rude to serve alcohol to muslim guests in a party. If they are caught drinking alcohol, they will be punished severely.
Drink and Drive
The Malaysian authorities definitely take their NO DRINK AND DRIVE policy very strictly. The legal limit for alcohol in a person’s bloodstream while driving is 80 milligrams. If you are caught in a drunk and drive situation, you will be fined up to a certain amount and might even be sent to jail for a few months.

Alcohol Availability
Alcohol in Malaysia can be found mostly in major metropolitan hubs such as Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru and Melaka. Tourist spots such as Pulau Tioman, Pulau Langkawi and Labuan sells alcohol at duty free. However, alcohol is banned in certain states such as Kelantan and Terengganu.
